About PokerX

PokerX is a free, browser-based Texas Hold'em poker game made by an independent developer. The goal is simple: make it easy for friends to sit down together for a friendly hand of poker, without accounts, downloads, or real money.

What we offer

• Instant play. Open the site and you are playing in seconds. We do not ask for your name or email.
• Private rooms. Create a table, share a join code, and invite friends. Hosts can lock the room or keep it hidden from the public list.
• Official tables and bots. Practice against computer players any time, even when nobody else is online.
• Learning tools. A hand-strength meter, plus guides to the rules, hand rankings, strategy and poker terms.
• Social touches. Emotes, chat phrases and playful gestures between players.

Play money only

PokerX is not a gambling site. Chips are free, have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn, and there are no prizes of real-world value. You earn chips with a free spin, daily missions and by winning hands. The game is for entertainment and is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

How the game works

Every table is run by our server, which deals the cards, enforces the betting rules and decides the winner, so that the game is fair for all players. The game uses a shuffled 52-card deck for every hand. Computer players always use a robot avatar so you can tell them apart. When an official table is quiet, a couple of house bots may sit down so there is always a game, and they leave again as real players arrive.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use. We plan to show advertising to pay for hosting. Ads never affect the cards that are dealt. You can read how we handle data and ad cookies in our privacy policy.
